France is through to the World Cup final after defeating Belgium 1-0 on Tuesday in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
It’s the third trip to the final for Les Bleus, who beat Brazil on home soil in 1998, and lost to Italy in 2006 in Germany.
Belgium was playing in only its second World Cup semifinal, and its first since 1986 in Mexico where it lost to eventual tournament champions Argentina.
Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti scored on a header off a corner kick in the 51st minute.
Croatia faces England on Wednesday in the other semifinal. The winner will face France on Sunday in Moscow. The loser will meet Belgium in Saturday’s third place match.
